T410 screen and keyboard issues

2014-12-08, 16:11 PM

I recently had an issue with some of my keys not working, including the power button which made me decide to change the entire keyboard. I placed an order for a new keyboard which seem  to be working  fine, including the power buttion. After fixing the new keyboard, the screen  doesn't come on  when I switch my laptop on. Can anyone help me with a  solution to this? Thanks

Hi Koo_Kwarteng,

Welcome to Lenovo Community!

As per the query we understood that you are facing issues with system NO POST on your ThinkPad T430.

  • Have you checked with your old keyboard?
  • Check removing the battery and connect only the power adapter.
  • Perform power drain and check it once, to proceed with power drain, remove power adapter and battery hold the power button for 30 seconds and after that connect only power adapter and try switching ON the system.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,

Hemanth Kumar

Okay thanks. I'll try this. I assume this works for the T410 as well.
That's what I reported on. I'm hoping to see positive results.
