T410s screen color calibration/black point

2010-06-15, 21:40 PM

Hi there,

I recently got a T410s. I've made the switch back to Thinkpads bc 1) I travel a lot, and 2) needed something more rugged than the Macbook Pro I had.

I have the 2901CTO (W7 Pro 64-bit) model with Intel video. Because I do a bit of photography, I need to calibrate my screen for when I'm on the road. Has anyone else noticed how terribly green the native settings are? It's like night and day next to even the most basic laptops we have around the office and the home. Even the black point is horrible. Is it just my display that's doing this?

I've been having a really hard time doing the color calibration to bring it up to acceptable levels. The native Windows7 is terrible and so is the Intel Color Enhancement software.

Any help?

Thanks!!

Found this for you...

Using Spyder 3 to calibrate

I have never used this program so I couldn't elaborate on the process - however, the linked thread should help.
