T420 WWAN slot

If I remove my WWAN card, in order to install an SSD card, I will lose my ability to acces the internet via wireless, is this correct?

If I decide to do this, will this work?

Samsung 840 EVO mSATA 500gb, SATA 3

And will I be able to boot from this device?

Thanks!
