my T420S behaves kinda weird: It simply doesnt startup anymore. Screen is blank (cant enter/see BIOS), no usb-power, no functionkeys are working. I already swapped the Ra, Hdd, Battery with no luck. Even in the docking station the situation is similar. This tuesday everything was fine, now it isnt anymore.
Just to clarify: it no a linux/windows issue, since it doesnt even come to this point. I also checked for damaged usb port (this wasnt the case).
Any ideas? Similar behaviors?

Doesn't sound promising.
Does the unit actualy power on. Your getting a green ring around the power button?
Reseat your RAM first.
Next option you can try to remove the keyboard, then remove the BIOS battery and try powering on again after the unit has been sitting for about an hour.
If the system has zero power whatsoever (AC only without battery or battery only) then sounds like it's time to call up Lenovo for a warranty repair.

Check all USB port, whether they are well and there is no part missing and no short.

Also check that you don't have an SD card in the slot.
Something similar happened to me, I inserted an SD card into the slot of my (now dead) x200 the day before, then next day the thing wouldn't boot, no BIOS, nothing. Completely unresponsive. Was about to take the x200 apart trying to troubleshoot the problem until I realized there was an SD card in the slot... plucked it out, rebooted, no problems.
Strange but true. Just throwing it out there...

Did the laptop get contact with liquids in the past? In that case its behavior is the consequence.
