Re: T420s - Latest Optimus Drivers - IE9 Instability

@tripplec,

We appreciate your assistance on this however if the team are requesting for further information such as crash logs and any additional items which they might need, Nine will sure post the request here on this thread. Till then just to inform everyone that the team are already looking into it and I am sure they are able ot replicate the problem at their end since I am able to replicate it on my T420 here too.

Thanks

Re: T420s - Latest Optimus Drivers - IE9 Instability

I tried including info by pasting section from Word into the PM and after two attempts and half hour or more the PM engine kept complaining of invalid html code and despite my best efforts would not allow the content. Hence I never sent it.

Re: T420s - Latest Optimus Drivers - IE9 Instability

Hey ExJamJus and other Lenovo staff,

I did report this nearly 2 months ago now - is there no update at all on the situation ?

I can't see it taking longer than 1hr for a professional driver employee at Lenovo to get something packaged up for us.

Anyway any updates would be great, thanks.

Re: T420s - Latest Optimus Drivers - IE9 Instability

@All,

Issue is currently being worked on by engineering. Do use the workaround as posted by Nine as advice by engineering until a fix has been released. Thread temporary marked as solved. Will post back once the driver has been released.

Thanks for all.

Re: T420s - Latest Optimus Drivers - IE9 Instability

Hey guys well its another two weeks down the line and well over two months since I posted the initial issue . . .

Surely it can't take the driver team two months to package up a newer driver for our optimus systems ?

It really can't . . .

It has been a bit of a long time now and no update.

Sigh.

Re: T420s - Latest Optimus Drivers - IE9 Instability

Hi DangerMouse and all,

Sorry for the late reply and updates. I understand the urgency of this issue and I'm working with the teams to get a final outcome. However an update has yet to come forth to me. Currently the only update I can give all of you at this this point is to use the work around by disabling the Harware accelaration for now. I understand it isn't the best solution however when a new driver or solution can be met by the teams only then I'll be able to inform you of the official release of the drivers needed. As far as i know at this the point the Engineering teams are working  the graphic manufacturers to come out with a solution. How soon they release the update is yet to be determine.

i'll definitely infor you of the update asson as i can get an update.

regards
