My T420s is noisy. On AC despite having perfectly fine temps around 40-50c, its very audible and the fan keeps running on 3600rpm. Is there anything to do, I have tried changing the fan settings from power manager to "balanced" and all instead of max performance, it still is noisy and the fan wont slow down. Weird thing with it is that if I put the laptop under heavy load where CPU gets to 80-90c, it will speed up to 4000rpm, and after cooling down back to 40-50c when there is no load, the fan will not slow down. It's like its stuck on the max speed it will get to and wont slow down. If the laptop runs fine with fan running 4000rpm in 80-90c I don't see any reason for the fan to not slow down when it cools down to 40-50c.
Is there anything to do, thermal paste and dust shouldnt be a issue since I have taken it apart few months ago and cleaned it and repasted it and it's just like before, didnt help.
I also have the latest BIOS on it, and it seems like noise is a common issue for this model when I googled about it
