My Thinkpad T430 (product 2349G2G) is suffering display corruption on power-on, it looks like the display is scanning from the wrong point in video memory, with the BIOS/in-Windows desktop about 36px too low down the screen (and the taskbar disappearing off the bottom). Also the bit-depth is reduced.
With any apps or windows open there is varying amounts of flickering from subtle to outright scrambling, especially with windows positioned top-left.
The VGA output is perfectly fine, however.
Lenovo Solution Centre reports no hardware problems. I have tried replacing the LCD cable but this hasn't solved it. The BIOS is also updated to the latest version. Is it likely to be anything other than a problem with the motherboard? The problem did start after running the laptop quite hot with sustained graphics processing!
