T430 + Ericsson F5521gw

Hi all,

This topic has being discuss before, and it's on-going (I've search the forum re: my problem, & no resolution provided hence my topic created).

I have recently acquired 11x T430 + 11x Ericsson F5521gw WWAN card. (Luckily, I've ordered 11 unit only).

Before I order anymore.. I need your help and assistant to fix my "1802: Unauthorized network card is plugged in - Power off and remove the miniPCI network card (0BDB/1911) System is halted". (1802 error code: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/diagnose-and-fix/detail.page?DocID=HT001309)

Any suggestion and advise would be greatly appreciated, other then re-writing/or modding the BIOS..

Did you get the WWAN cards from Lenovo?  As you have discovered, that is required.  There is a device whitelist that ThinkPads enforce.

Correct, the WWAN card was ordered from Lenovo.

Could you please point out or provide the device checklist from Lenovo? Manys thanks in advance

I have exactly the same problem. New T430 and Ericsson F5521gw. Ericsson card Lenovo sourced with Lenovo serial number on box but it seems FRU is not in the T430 bios whitelist. Why???

The wireless FRU list for the T430 is in the FRU Bill of Materials: http://download.lenovo.com/parts/ThinkPad/t430_t430i_fru_bom.pdf

From that doc:
