T430S SIM card question

I have put a SIM card in the slot in the battery compartment, but I cannot see the card coming up anywhere.

I noticed someone said you have to have a WWAN card installed to be able to use the similar, yes? If no WWAN card is visible in the system info under network adapters, then I guess there is no WWAN present? Can it be bought and installed? By me?

Re: T430S SIM card question

I think you can. I bought 3G card and install into my T430S, but I have some problems with him (see my topic below than yours)...

Re: T430S SIM card question

Hi Nitupsar,

If you can provide your machine type and model, we could check and be sure that you have no WWAN modem and that your machine WWAN capable.

You can find the compatible modems there: http://download.lenovo.com/parts/ThinkPad/t430s_fru_bom_20130401.pdf

Vince.
