T430s SSD upgrade

I just received my T430s. I requested two factory recovery dvd. I was thinking to buy some upgrades for the machine.

Can anyone verify if the ssd is compatible to T430s?

Many thanks!

Re: T430s SSD upgrade

Not exactly! Be careful.

That one is 9.5mm thick. The T430s requires the newer 7mm thick SSDs. You need the CT256M4SSD1, not CT256M4SSD2 model.

I've had the 7mm M4 in my T430s for several months now. It works flawlessly. And the speed improvement, especially in booting Win7 is simply amazing.

Re: T430s SSD upgrade

The Samsung 830-series SSD drives are also 7mm thick.  I'm using the 256GB one and it works very well.

Re: T430s SSD upgrade

Thanks to you both. I later decided to go with Crucial M4 7mm, but I am sure the samsung one will work just as well.

I accidentally chose samsung as my solution answer. Sorry. Thanks to you both!
