T430s + Windows 8 - one unknown device

I have just installed a fresh copy of windows 8 on my T430s. I followed the instructions posted by Lenovo (basically, update the bios to the latest, run the install, then install the system update 5 utility).

I installed all the drivers that system update 5 found... still had some unknown devices, so went one by one through all the windows 8 drivers on the support site. I still have a single device listed under "other devices" that is "Unknown device". 

Properties show "on MS ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller" but no other details. 
Status shows: The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

Under the details tab it says hardware ids: "ACPI\VEN_LEN&DEV_0078"
tried googling, but nothing came up...

Anyone have any ideas? Anyone else install windows 8 fresh?

Welcome to the community.

There was a recent post pointing that identifier string to the Intel Management Engine Interface and Serial Over LAN driver.

If you have the link to your driver matrix, it should be easy to get. I'd post a link for you, but I'm working via cell phone at the moment.

Thanks for your help... Turned out to be: the Lenovo HID HW Radio Driver.

No unknown devices anymore...
