I am trying to simply connect my T430u to an HP 23xi display (HDMI port to HDMI port), but the external monitor does not recognize the input. Based on a previous discussion thread, it seems this might be related to video card configurations. I am not too familiar working with a dedicated graphics card, but my expecations were that it should be plug and play, as I am able to do with my G580.
Is there some sort of hardware restriction on how this should function? I tried accessing the NVIDIA control panel, but the only options related to 3D graphics. I'm not sure of any other way this should be configured.
Any help is appreciated.

I'm running Windows 7 Professional on the T430u, and the HP display works seamlessly with the G580 via HDMI so I don't think the HDMI cable or the monitor itself are the issue.
Thanks for such a quick reply!

I reinstalled the display drivers, but I'm still having the same issue.
When I unplug the HDMI from the computer, the monitor displays "Check Video Cable", and when the HDMI cable is plugged back in, the monitor displays "Monitor Going to Sleep".
