I recently had my T430u repaired by Lenovo to solve some bugs in which they ended up replacing the motherboard, but now my fingerprint software won't work. Upon looking at device manager, the fingerprint reader does not even show up. Lenovo said they may have to get it back in order to fix it, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas before I resort to that option. I've updated my BIOS, tried uninstalling and reinstalling the fingerprint software, but none of that did anything. Is there a fingerprint driver that needs to be downloaded as well as the software or anything?

There is a fingerprint reader driver available on the Lenovo Support website that may help. This driver can be found here. Use the dropdown menu labelled Category and select Fingerprint Reader from the list. Select and download the driver appropriate to your system.
There is also a setting in BIOS where the fingerprint reader can be disabled. Enter the BIOS and make sure that the fingerprint reader under Security ► I/O Port Access is set to Enabled.
Hope it helps,
