Anyone know how I can get the verizon gobi 5000 to work with my T431s on windows 7. For some reason there is no driver for the gobi 5000 that I can find and the lenovo mobile broadband activiation software only supports AT&T.
I'm at a loss. Waited 2 months to get the gobi 5000 only to realize that the model it was built for (T431s) is not currently compatible.
Would appreciate any help!

Is this a Lenovo branded card? (FRU 04W3801)
I don't have one to look at myself. What error are you getting? Do you have the latest BIOS? This document implies that system update will automatically install the driver:

It is not a lenovo branded card. It was specifically designed for the lenovo T431s (at least it supposedly was). Technical name is the Sierra Wireless EM7355 (aka. Qualcomm Gobi 5000)

Sorry. I updated my post after you posted. My experience has been that you always need a Lenovo-branded card. Major computer manufacturers all do this because they have to certify all cards with radios with the FCC and similar agencies in other countries, and they check need to check the firmware at boot time. I am guessing that you will need a Lenovo-branded card. Sorry.
