T440 Power Manager Problem

Hey folks,

I recently purchased a Lenovo T440 and it came with Windows 7 installed.

I went through the free upgrade to Windows 10.

Afterwards I downloaded and installed all of the Lenovo updates (recommended and optional) using the Lenovo Solution Centre.

Ever since then everytime I turn on the machine I get the same error message - "Power Manager Gauge: An error occurred while loading resource DLL."

I have tried a number of things including reinstalling the Lenovo Power Management Driver and disabling some of the lenovo startup functions.

However nothing I have done has prevented this error message from appearing on startup.

Any help solving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: T440 Power Manager Problem

In Windows 10 I could not uninstall the old version of Power Manager nor install the new version.  I indicated I wanted to overwrite the newer version but the installation process repeatedly hung.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

I was looking at this thread before making my post and tried this suggestion.

I reinstalled the Lenovo Power Management Driver troubleshooting for Windows 7 compatibiity however it did not work and the error message still appears on startup.
