T440 will not power on after battery error

The other night I was working on my T440 and all of a sudden the screen flashed and powered off. At the very last moment I seen a critically low battery error. I immediately plugged it ina nd tried to power on again, I got to the splash screen, then it flashed the battery error again and shutdown. I ordered a Lenovo battery of the same exact size brand new installed it and now I am not getting anything. I allowed the unit to charge while plugged in for a little while and still nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am having the same following problem. This was after attempting to preform a Windows Update.

If it were mine, I would try to de a complete reset.  Pull the main battery.  Pull the bottom cover.  Disconnect the internal battery (if installed).  Disconnect the CMOS battery (by the hinge to your left). Press the power button a couple of times, and wait 10 seconds.  Put it back together and hope for something good to happen.
