Hi,
I've been using my Thinkpad T440p for only few months, When I plug in the charger, battery doesn't charge and doesn't show anything (as if the charger is not plugged in at all).
- The charger itself is working.
- If i removed the battery and botted the laptop with cahrger plugged in it works.
- if the laptop is off and i plugged in the charger the battery will charge.
- Whenever I plug in the charger while on battery, the power light blinks but without charging.
I've tried to uninstall ACPI Power driver and didn't work, I've tried to update BIOS and it isn't possible as the update require both the battery and charger to be connected which is not possible.
Please help

Are you saying it won't run if there is a battery and it is plugged in? Do you have warranty remaining?

If i'm to start the laptop with charger plugged in and battery installed, It would run only if the battery is charged, and battery would not be charging.
(and the only way to charge the battery is by plugging in the charger while the laptop is turned off).
I've used the laptop only for 5 months, and still haave warrnty.

It's time to use the warranty to get it fixed.

Could you try to perform a Power Drain on the laptop and check if the battery will charger? Here's how https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/troubleshoot/lpt000352?CID=ww:lenovosocial:20x9m6 - I would like to verify as well, what version of Linux OS is currently installed on your laptop?
