T440p 5 beeps, pause, 5 beeps doesn't boot

2019-02-22, 21:00 PM

Hello!!!

I'm trying to repair a T440P which is making 5 beeps, pause, 5 beeps with blank screen. It doesn't boot so I cannot change any configuration in the BIOS.

What could I do?

Thanks!

Normally 5 short beeps with a blank screen points to a problem with the system board/motherboard.

Well, as said in the previous post... Seems like a mobo issue.

Did you try the RAM trick I mentioned in the Spanish community?  ;-)

Si, ya probé.

Yes, i did, but it didn't work. I'll have to try taking out the HDD or the CPU, but I've never separated all parts of the laptop.
