Re: T440s Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 with wireless-N router

Well that's disappointing. Maybe Broadcom cards from here on out? Atheros?

Here's hoping these instructions still work on modern cards. Now that BIOS mods are out of the picture, maybe card mods will be viable:

Also, in my experience, Intel reps on the Intel support sites are next to useless when it comes to anything that isn't on their script.

Re: T440s Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 with wireless-N router

Thoughtful comments.

So, now with an ASUS dual band router (courtesy of T-Mobile), can I upgrade the card in my T520 to an Intel ac-7260?

I found Lenovo's guide for the mechanics of switching out the card, but is there a similarly detailed step-by-step guide for installing the driver (and what checks to make), and when to do it (before or after the card)?

Thanks!
