I have a very lightly used T450 laptop and the internal battery #1 is not being recognized by the laptop. I have read in other forums on other devices that the connection might be loose. It is under warranty but I have no Lenovo service center near me.
How difficult is it to access battery #1 inside the laptop to check on the connections? Is there a detailed diagram / instructions someone can point me to? If I do this, will it invalidate my warranty (I have nearly two years left).

There is no way the battery can become disconnected by itself. The connection is very secure. If you remove the bottom cover, the internal battery is obvious and easy to access. You won't affect the warranty unless you break something taking it apart or removing parts
