T450S Screen Protector.

Hi.

I think my t450s might have a factory installed screen protector. I just wanted to know if it is an applied removable film or some sort of coating.

Thanks.

Re: T450S Screen Protector.

Looks like an applied film; might be a matte finish on top of a glossy panel?

I'd leave it alone if it doesn't bother you; it doesn't look like one of those temporary shipping protectors.

Re: T450S Screen Protector.

Thanks for your answer.
I don't want to take it off. My concern is that I'm using this laptop as my work and main unit. In my home there is no problem, but while working, is normal for me to get very tiny pieces of metal in my finger tips. As a matter of fact, I can see the scratches my fingers create on my tablet and cellphone screen protectors. As I use a lot the touchscreen on my unit I wanted to be sure it is well protected against my fingers or else to buy some kind of protection film. To me it looks like a protective film but not being sure (and not being written in the manual) I guess I'll have to apply one.

Re: T450S Screen Protector.

Hi Crudeoil,

As per the image it look like it is having screen protector, but for safer side you can also put one, and look out for antiglare protective film.

Hope this helps.

Best regards,

Hemanth Kumar

Re: T450S Screen Protector.

I know this thread is long since dead, but I received one of these T450s Touch Screen units back from the field.  I couldn't believe the user put up with such a horrible looking screen.  So I removed the protector.  **bleep** thing was really well put on there.  Screen looks MARVELOUS and works just fine.

I actually googled AFTER I did the removal second guessing my choice.
