T450s 5300u = 1600x900, or 1080p?

Hi all,

I'm trying to help a friend acquire a T450s i5 5300u w/ 1080p screen resolution like mine, however I am a bit confused by conflicting information online.

My unit has a 1080p display (windows automatically defaults to this display setting); however when I checked the lenovo specs page, they don't even show 1080p as an option ( https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/thinkpad/t-series/t450/ )

Until now, based on reviews years ago, I was always under the impression the 5200u came with the 1600x900 screen, and the 5300u/5600u came with the 1080p screen.

But after seeing the lenovo specs page, and nearly every auction listing online stating the 1600x900 resolution for the 5300u model.... was I wrong?

Anyone have a better idea on this?

Thanks!

Your link is to a T450 not a T450_s_.  The base spec shows 1080 as an option, and I see used/refurbs available at Amazon and NewEgg, among others.

Re: T450s 5300u = 1600x900, or 1080p?

The platform spec shows HD+ (1600x900) and FHD (1920x1080) as options on T450s, regardless of CPU.  T450 shows those same two plus HD (1366X768).  Multitouch was also an option for both.

Excellent, thanks! I did notice that it lacked the s; however after being unable to find a t450s spec page, I erroneously assumed lenovo hadn't created a page for the T450s because they shared the same options.

And we're back...
