Hi there!
I recently received a new T450s and after performing a clean install of Windows 7 and updating my computer, I find that scrolling with the trackpoint (using the middle button we all missed) is broken. In every application, scrolling is either insensitive, barely works, or most often randomly jumps a page while scrolling, as if someone was pressing PgDn every few seconds.
I started with version 18.1.27.20 of the UltraNav driver, but it was simply unusable. Downgrading to version 18.1.27.14 helped things somewhat, though I am still nowhere near an acceptable point.
Adjusting settings has had no impact. Two finger scrolling on the trackpad works beautifully in every application.
Suggestions? Comments?

Yeah sure, but I don't see any solutions on there?

I appreciate the help! I guess I'll just wait for a driver update. Will keep an eye on the other thread.

Although the T450S dedicated trackpoint buttons are a welcome design improvement, the ultranav driver is not. The trackpoint scrolling sticks and intermittently jumps during use. The trackpad also misses on 2 finger scrolling about half of the time.
Uninstalling and reinstalling the ultranav driver did not help. Reinstalling the entire operating system did not correct the problems either.
FWIW, the previous gen T440S trackpoint smoothly scrolls. So does the T430S. Apparently, the T450S ultranav driver has the wrong scrolling algorithim. It appears generic. In-line flash images conflict with the T450S trackpoint scrolling. Even worse, the scrolling function sticks and jumps while using a file explorer window.
On the bright side, the T450S trackpad smoothly scrolls, as long as it recognizes two fingers correctly. The multi-touch smoothly scrolls as well.
Unfortunately, I need to use the trackpoint for productivity. As such, I have reverted to using the T440S, until Lenovo releases an updated ultranav/trackpoint driver with smooth scrolling.

Recently moved from a T440s to a T450s. To me, adding the buttons back in is a step backwards. It reduces the size of the touchpad surface, which makes general navigation, especially scrolling up-down, very difficult. I started using the trackpoint to navigate out of desperation, but evidently Lenovo/Synaptics have a half-baked driver in here.
Sheer incompetence - the T440s trackpoint scrolled just fine! The trackpoint hardware is the same! All they did was swap out one big trackpad for one with three buttons and somehow they managed to goof scrolling up. Reverting back to the *.14 driver helps, but not much.
I've purchased a used T440s trackpad for $15 on eBay and am planning to swap it in. With all the trackpoint fanatics swapping the T450s trackpad into the T440s, I feel quite brazen doing the opposite. An optimal solution to Lenovo would be to offer the choice of component: one-button large trackpad, or "new" (old) three button one.
Perhaps I will swap the three-button trackpad back in when functional scrolling is implemented via drivers.

My experience is identical to yours with the T450S scrolling problems. The ultranav driver makes the machine unusable for work. I already mentioned the problems in the thread, "Thinkpad T450S Not Ready for Prime Time."
The T440S has no scrolling problems with the ultranave driver (with either the trackpoint or trackpad). If you are retrofitting your T450S with an older T440S trackpad, make sure you pay attention to the cable length. They apparently are different.
I would not recommend purchasing additional T450S machines. Hopefully, Lenovo will appropriately address the issue.

I'm chiming in to say the scrolling with the trackpoint on the t450s is bothering me too. Great laptop, but the fact that the scrolling with the middle button is lagging and slow is really going to drive me crazy if i keep it. Hoping for a driver fix soon.
