Hello everyone! I hope you guys can help.
Long story short is I bought a used T460 off of craigslist and the BIOS has the supervisor password set and I don't know it. I have full access to Win 10 Pro, but cannot change the boot order or turn on virtualization.
I was wondering if it's possible to install linux over the network/pxe/pci lan? The boot order is the HD and PCI Lan. Will this allow me to set up a server and install linux that way? Or is it possible to set up a new HD on a separate computer with a fresh install of linux and swap it into the T460?
I'm really trying to avoid buying a new motherboard for it just to get virtualization and linux.
Thank you very much in advance for any and all help!!

You cannot turn on virtualization without the password. Depending on BIOS options set, you may be able to use F12 to choose from a list of boot devices.

Welcome to the forum!

That would be the most practical approach IMO, I did the same few times with Debian Distros and it worked well, I normally do a minimal install with no wlan drivers, then put the disc/SSD in the new laptop and complete the install there.
