We have deployed multiple ThinkPad T460s models using the ThinkPad Ultra Dock (40A20090US) connected to (for the most part) Dell P2214 widescreen monitors via DisplayPort. Windows 10 is the OS in each case.
When returning from sleep, hibernate, or even when just locking Windows, all programs that were open in any combination on the right or left monitor all collapse to the main screen. I would like to prevent this from happening without having to turn to some sort of third-party software.
Steps that have been taken so far:
- Graphics driver (and every single other driver) has been updated
- BIOS has been updated
- Scaling options (under Intel HD Graphics Control Panel tab in display adapter properties) have been adjusted to all available alternative options
- This has been experienced mainly with computers connected to the dock via DisplayPort as mentioned, but has also been observed with DVI and combinations of DVI & VGA
Is this by design in terms of the Intel 520 graphics card?
