Looking for ideas on this...
I have a Vantec D300SU3 drive dock that isn't recognized at all by my T460s with Win7. It behaves as if nothing was plugged in at all -- nothing changes in device manager or the disk manager. It behaves the same on both the USB3 ports and the USB2 port. So far other USB devices work fine for me -- but this may be the first USB3 device. Windows and Lenovo drivers are up to date.
The same drive dock works fine on a Yoga X1 running Win10 and a old X230 running Linux.
I'll be able try Linux on the T460s tomorrow to rule out a hardware issue.
Suggestions are appreciated. Thanks,

Is the drive dock plugged in with its power supply.

More data points:
The dock also does not work when running Linux on the same laptop.
It does work on additional laptops, including one running win7 that supports USB3.
It works on my T460s if I put a USB3 hub in between, ** but only if I plug the hub into the non-SS port on the T460.
Finally, I tried an older version of the dock (D300S3 instead of D300SU3) and the older one works.
