How do I determine which keyboard (non-backlit) and display (non-touch) I have on the T460s?
Most centrally, I am considering upgrading to a backlit keyboard, and trying to decide between the two variants.

In order to tell you the exact manufacturer we need system details like MTM. So that was the reason I have shared you that link by entering the details you can know the manufacturer as well.
You can post the keyboard part number here as well.
Normally for T460s there are two manufacturer for Keyboard - Chicony & Darfon.
So request you to share either system MTM or keyboard part number.

As per the MTM I'm not able to see the details of your LCD panel, for T460s there are two manufacturer LG & Innolux producing display.

Try installing HWInfo64 for example, it will read your LCD model number (other options are Speccy or SIW). Post the result here or google the model# you get ;-)

The monitor is a Lenovo LEN40A9
Is one display better than the other?
As to the keyboards, is the Darfon backlit just about like the non-backlit? This keyboard is okay, and I like the matte finish to it. Of course, I would love the keyboard that I had on the X220, but then....
