I know this is a couple of years old, but did you make any progress with fixing this problem?
We have two T470's that are experiencing a similar issue. I've been trying to troubleshoot them myself, but likely will need to call Lenovo support to see what they have to say. I've even swapped a SSD from one to another T470 where we didn't have any reports of restarts/shutdowns. The restart/shutdown followed the SSD, so wonder if it's actually software causing the problem at this point.
Note, all Lenovo software and BIOS are up to date via System Update.

Yes, the issues appears to be with the SSD tray I bought from Lenovo.
I called Lenovo support who suggested removing and reseating the SSD, which would fix my issue for about a year. They where also able to use the BSOD error to help.
Eventually I decided to replace the SSD tray and it seems to be working well since (about 3 months)

Just wanted to chime in here. Thus far it appears our issue was solved by updating the firmware on the Samsung 850 EVO SSD that was installed. Now the T470 seems to enter the sleep state normally without crashing.
