T470 FDE

I'm looking for upgrading my existing SSD with encryption. Would ThinkPad drive password and BIOS cryptographic extension work with new series of Intel FDE SSDs like 910?

Unlikely.  The features you mentioned are actually ATA features and there's not a standard for how these things should work on NVMe.  ThinkPad makes our NVMe suppliers follow our spec for drive security, so if you buy the OEM drive you can be assured these things will work.  But if you go off on your own and buy a retail drive, all bets are off.  I don't personally have any retail drives to test with, so if you need to know for sure, you would have to ask Intel if they have tested this drive in a ThinkPad.  Or else find someone else who has bought this drive and tried it.
