I would like to upgrade my stock 1x8GB 2400 MHz module to 2x16GB.
There are two options I am considering:
I would like to go for the Kingston because of lower CL, but it is not listed on Kingston website as compatible with T470 - i can't see why. Could there be any problem with that memory in T470?
The second one is listed as compatible on Crucial website.
Thanks for any help.

I have never used either of those modules, but I would GUESS that they both will work. I would be surprised if you could ever notice the difference between CL-14 and CL-16 unless you were running a full memory test with a stopwatch. 16GB DDR4 modules are expensive, so I would always suggest you buy them from somewhere that accepts returns for compatibility,

Hi, I'm in a similar situation, but want to know if this applies also to the frequency. I mean, I can install a 2666MHz and guess the system will automatically downclock it to run at max laptop 2400MHz?

Yes. It will run at the bus speed.

Hm would it be 2400 MHz? I just checked Intel's ARK spec sheet on my CPU and it gives me the following:
Memory Types: DDR4-2133, LPDDR3-1866, DDR3L-1600
No DDR4-2400 here. Is that an error on Intel's side? How can I confirm if memory is indeed running at 2400 MHz?
