Got a brand new Lenovo T470, i7 with 16 GB RAM so not the slowest one. Now I had to re-install it because it was superslow from the day of the delivery. After re-installation it was superfast again until I installed Lenovo Companio from the Window store and updated all drivers from Lenovo. Then it became really sluggish, sometimes keyboard inputs weren't even detected and missed, that slow.
Funny thing is though, there is zero cpu/mem/disk load. You can't see any load at all but still it's unworkable.
I then reinstalled it again, this time no Lenovo Companion and just drivers from Windows Update and it was flying, really really fast. Then I installed companion again and boom, dead slow again. Unusable. So re-installed again and said goodbye to companion and/or Lenovo drivers, just using the ones from Microsoft.
I did update to the latest firmware but it made no difference. It's just so much faster without the Lenovo stuff, I can't believe it.
Any idea what might cause this?
