At work my colleagues and I use a Think T470S , Model-No 20HF-003NMZ. There is a SIM card slot at the side of these notebooks, so I put in a SIM card from a Swiss provider. However, with or without a SIM, I don't see any LTE/WWAN devices in Windows listet on at least two f our T470s.
So my question is, does the T470S support LTE/WWAN access? I mean, there is the SIM card slot, but as I can see from the Lenovo's shop configurator, some models do have a WWAN ready option. Does this mean I have to buy an accessory to get the WWAN working? Or is it a configuration / driver problem?
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Warm Greetings & welcome to Lenovo Community, happy to have you here.
Looking at your system configuration this model is WWAN ready but in order to use this feature, you need to add WWAN card to it.
I hope the above information helped you.

Oh okay, I thought it might something like that...Funny - there is a slot, but no card ;-)
However, from all the parts listet on your link's website, which one is the WWAN card? Or do you have a part number, so I can order the correct product?
Thanks in advance,

Usually WWAN card is optional, not included in all models. Below are the supported WWAN Adapters for your system: (source)

So many model numbers, oh gosh
Finally, I was able to "organize" an EM7455 card from an unused T470P in my company. I hope that the person, who will get it doesn't miss it....I mounted it in, and after some try and errors I downloaded the latest version of the Sierra software - and now it is working fine. Thanks for your informations and help !
