T470p battery not charging

2019-12-15, 12:15 PM

On my T470p 20FW003PMZ with Windows 10, the battery is no more beeing charged. I exchange the battery and the power supply with no success. Lenovo Vantage says battery is in good condition and is currently charging, but it stays at 45% all the time. I have also checked, that aiplane mode and charging threshold is disabled. It also does not charge when the device is switched off and the power supply is connected.

Have you done (or attempted to do) the "battery gauge reset" function in Lenovo Vantage?

On my version (MS store app under W10) it is under   Hardware --> Power Settings -->  then scroll down to "Battery Gauge Reset".

It is rumored that the new version of Lenovo Vantage has many features missing.,

(I have auto-update turned off in the Microsoft store so I still have the old version)

If the option does not exist in your version, there is a thread here someplace on how to get the old (expanded) functionallity back.
