T480 Battery drain

Hi

I am facing a strange situation.

When I shutdown my laptop at 4:00pm, I check my battery charging level.

Then next day at 9:00am when I start it, I notice that there is a decrease in charging by ~10%.

Is this normal???

Re: T480 Battery drain

I did some research on this issue, it seems related to windows rather than the hardware.

When you shutdown windows, it actually goes in a mode called connected standby that can be disabled from the registry.

Re: T480 Battery drain

Wow, so yours actually stayed in standby? My laptop just claimed (after ~40min in each sleep session, and less than 1Whr of battery drained [~2%]), that it was time to failback into Hibernation mode, even though I explicitly disabled that feature. After a week of dealing with that mess, I, too, disabled Modern Standby. Such a shame, since it worked so well when it did work.
