T480 Keyboard problems

2020-01-19, 21:40 PM

Hello to all the lenovo community.

I have a T480, ( a should mentioned that I had a lots of Thinkpad these last years T40, T43, T410s, T420S, T450S, T480 and an X1 carbon...)

I just love the thinkpad 14 inch computers ...

Several month ago,  I bought the T480 (great laptop),but,  sudently , some keys stop working .... (F9, F10, F11, 7, 8 ,9 , 0, ? u,i,o,p... and other keys didn't work) it was not a Windows 10 problem (driver or something else) because on linux the sames keys didn't work neither and even in the bios.

I call the lenovo support and they send me a new keyboard. The new way to replace the keyboard on the T480 is very very simple and mutch more easier compare to the t450s for exemple .. so it is a great improvment.

So i change the keyboard, and it works fine. But sometimes after a several hour hibernation, it stop to work and I just cant use the keyboard , no key works.I So I have to reboot and then the keyboard works well again.

Just want to know if some of you had troubles with t480 keyboards and If you find a solution.
