T480 - No Ethernet (wired network) when docked [USB-C Dock, TYPE: 40A9]

I have a new consistant problem with my 2 months old T480 ThinkPad.
I don't get Ethernet wired network connection (so I have to connect to Wifi connection, when I am docked :(

In the Windows 10, Settings > Ethernet > "Ethernet Not Connected."

When I connect the same Ethernet cabel directly to the laptop network port, the I get wired network connection and all works well.
(So there is not problem with the ethernet line/cable).
Also when connected in the dock, I see the constant green light and blicking orgage light.

It is the just the network connection doest not get to the laptop using the usb-c cable from docking box.

Some history of my laptop:
Recently I had following issue, sometimes almost no docking connectivity after undocking (disconnecting from docking box), and reconnecting (e.g. after a meeting).

Then after the System updated fixed that issue.

The Current version is N24TF14W (from N24TF13W)

PM Driver version is OK.
The interface is checked and the BIOS supports the interface.
The TBT_FORCE_PWR is checked and the BIOS supports the function.
The PD Controller is checked and the BIOS supports the function.
Capturing Current NVM version....
The Current Thunderbolt NVM firmware version is 17.01
Capturing Current Build ID....
The Current version is N24TF14W
Thunderbolt SW version: 17.4.78.21

Checked for 'System Update' only found 'Lenovo Help Center (1 of 1) to updated.

 

Any help appreciated.

Ok, during System Update, found 1 "Recomended updates (1)"
ThinkPad USB-C Dock FW Package - 7/10 [64]

 

After applying the update, and system reboot, the dock Ethernet Network connection issue is fixed.

 

And in the: Setting > Network & Internet > Ethernet:

Now I see 2 Ethernet icons, 1st one says "Ethernet Not connect"

but new/2nd one is "Connected" and working.

 

So it seems the fix/updated added this new/2nd Ethernet "thingy" that works for Ethernet connected to dock box's (via type-c usb) network connection.

But last week it was working fine.

 

So far, I find this T480 and new docking box connection via type-c usb is giving many issues and not properly tested before release.

I'm not able to find this update. These are the updates I have done. Is it because I just updated my BIOS?

Just run (search) 'System Update' app, and check if any update is pending, and appy/install the updates.

Having the same Issue. Ethernet port in Gen 2 Docking station USB Ctype ( 40AS) is not working. Updated all the firmwares, drivers and updates in system update app but still we are not able to make the Ethernet port in Gen 2 dock work, but all the other ports work in the dock. When connected directly to ethernet port of Tunderbolt port of any laptop of T480, T490s series ,its working . Its not working in Gen ethernet port alone.
