[T480/Win10] Keyboard input disables trackpoint button

2019-07-06, 14:50 PM

When using the keyboard, it seems to disable the trackpont's left click button for a couple seconds.

It doesn't disable the trackpad or the pointer part of the trackpoint, or even the right or middle click buttons. Only the left click.

This is very annoying for playing any kind of games on the machine, and I can't find any setting or registry entry that seems to fix it.

Does anyone have an idea of what can be done?

This post has the same issue, but doesn't actually seem to know what solved it.

Found a solution, it seems:

Registry key

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\PrecisionTouchPad

Set AAPThreshold to 0

Reboot.

This helped me too
