After recent update of Fibocom WWAN L830-EB firmware to version 18300.1002.00.01.01.17 faced an issue that occures on the go (literally in transport) when network is dropped (out of range) and then found again, as it seems. Win 10 troubleshooter returns:
"Windows can't communicate with the device or resource (primary DNS server)"
Report & logs are attached.
Lenovo Thinkpad T480s (type 20L7, model 20L7001HRT)
Windows 10 Pro, ver. 1803
Would someone please provide a link to the previous firmware ver. 18300.1002.00.01.01.14 ? Can I downgrade?

My T480 with L830-EB also has this problem. After booting into linux, the problem still happen while the LTE can be used normally before the firmware was upgraded. Therefore, I think it was casued by the auto upgrade program of windows 10 which change the firmware on the hardware to let the wwan card work incorrectly. I hope either Lenovo or Microsoft can solve this issue by some way.

I've also this same problem with my T480 (non-s) with L830-EB, after installing the newest firmware und driver. My T480 is running with Windows 10 1809 and Arch-Linux (full-encrypted dual-boot). Since this new firmware, the L830-EB it is unusable for me due to connection dropouts and even due to L830-EB-device-whole-disappear-issues on system driver level. Please fix it, or alternately provide the old firmware with downgrade-option. The longest stable connection i have had since then is about one minute, after which the problems will occur, in other words it is completely unusable now.

I have the same issue on my T480s after the firmware upgrade automatically. Get no signal after update and the WWAN card disapear in the device list for a few second.

Dude, have you solved this problem? With the 480S, you have tried it, and all kinds of methods have been tried. It is useless.

I wrote to Microsoft and Fibocom, but this question has not been answered.
I hope Lenovo can help. Thanks!
