Re: T490S and Comet Lake

Sounds like a typical annual product line refresh.  But for the T490 specifically, I doubt that they will put the new CPU into a T490 which has its own set of clearly defined specs. It will be a T4100 or whatever.

The T490s is getting squeezed between the Carbon X1 and the T490, as the "non-s" models get thinner and lighter and lose bulky features.

The question seems to be whether the "s" sub-series will be discontinued next year.  I would not miss it.

The "s" series made sense historically in context of a T440-T440s-X1 choice, for example. But now T490 and X1 are as close together as the T440s and the X1 were back then.
