T500 Emergency Reset

2017-03-03, 23:55 PM

Problem: No power, no lights, no response at all. Power supply tests good. I've seen posts for several other similar Txxx models with the same symptoms refer to inserting a paper clip into the Emergency Reset hole on the laptop's bottom fixed many of these systems. According to the manual, the T500 does not seem to have an emergency reset hole.

I've seen other posts that mention resetting BIOS.  I do not think BIOS is my problem.  I think I should get some LED response from plugging in the power supply, regardless of BIOS status.

I have disconnected the CMOS battery, waited 20 minutes, reassembled the system and still get no response when connecting the power supply.

Any suggestions? Right now this T500 is solid brick.
