Older T500 and upgraded to Windows 10 last night. Now I can get sound out of speakers, or sound out of headphones, but it doesn't automatically switch from one to the other when plugging in or removing headphone jack.
I have to go into the sound devices and switch "default" to the one I want each time. It is an annoyance.
Looks like Lenovo is way behind on providing Windows 10 compatible drivers. Is this the case?

There are no Windows 10 drivers for the T500. I have a W500 with the same driver problem. You can use most of the Windows 7 drivers and even try the drivers for Windows 8/8.1. You will need to experiment... it's a trial and error process.
I would use some of the base Lenovo drivers like communications and hotkeys since many functions are related to those drivers. Also be aware Windows 10 will force some drivers, noteably video, on you whether you like it or not.

This can be disabled, if you choose to manage hardware device drivers yourself.

I did a fresh install of Win10 on a T500. It picked up all the hardware except for 5 items:
Base system device
Base system device
PCI Memory Controller
PCI Serial Port
PCI Simple Communications Controller
The two base devices were the card reader and power management. I found a couple of Win 7 drivers to pick up the Base System Devices: 7kss73ww and n1mku23w.
I have not found drivers for the remaining three: the PCI Memory Controller, PCI Serial Port and PCI Simple Communications Controller. Failures include 7ur6cdww, sif10ww66 and g1ic09ww.
The next challenge is making the CAC reader work with DOD sites. Neither IE nor Edge work so far, even with the relevant certs installed.
