you can download the Win 7 64 bit ISO from here:

http://forum.notebookreview.com/windows-os-software/428068-legal-windows-7-download-links-just-like-...

and then activate it after installation using the serial no. on the microsoft win 7 authenticity sticker.

Re: T510 Windows 7 Professional 32 bit to 64 bit

Actually, you can just grab the ReadyFor4GB patch for Windows 7 32-bit and it'll permit up to 128GB of RAM. However, that said, this patch breaks XP mode. I used to run 64-bit, but have since went back to 32-bit because I find it's a bit more stable.

Re: T510 Windows 7 Professional 32 bit to 64 bit

Hi ilovethinkpad!

I would steer clear of third-party Windows patches which claim to do incredible things, unless they're reviewed and approved by trusted sources.

lead_org's tip will work, and if you want to switch to 64-bit using a Lenovo factory disk set, check this support page:

When is it possible to switch between 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Microsoft Operating Systems by u...

The only reason I would not run 64-bit is if I had to use some software which absolutely did not run on it. 32-bit is disappearing in the rear view mirror...

Hope this helps!
