T520 Slow performance and unexplained low Windows experience rating - Update BIOS

Question

I have aT520, and the speed seems slow. Please see the following ratings by win 7. The system profile of my T520 is attached. Why are the stats so low?  The CPU seems to be running slow.

Recommend that customers update to the lattest BIOS - version 1.28 or later...

Occasionally, BIOS values can be corrupt and cause the system not to respond as expected.  Clearing and resetting values in BIOS can often resolve unexplained performance issues like this.

 

1) Remove battery and AC adapter - then press and hold the power button several times for several seconds each time.  This will drain residual capacitance.

 

2) Reinstall AC and battery and restart.  If system performs properly now, then you are done.

 

3) If still unresolved, restart system and enter BIOS - press F1.  Select option F9 to reload BIOS defaults.  Then save and exit and restart.

 

4) Be sure to check CPU settings while in BIOS .
