We have a strange problem with a customer's ThinkPad T560.
Neither keyboard, touchpad nor USB (keyboard, mouse, HDD) are working.
USB keyboard and mouse are not getting any power, USB harddrive gets power but is not recognized (nothing happens in Windows).
I have tried the various startup alternatives such as safe mode etc - same problem.
The only thing that IS working, are the media keys on the internal keyboard. It responds to Open Explorer, switch apps, brightness and wireless switch... but nothing else.
I have tried a system restore to a previous point - which works until a restart, then it's the same thing. Running out of restore points.
I am getting a bit frustrated with this - are there any solutions to this problem? I have also tried upgrading to Windows 10 (assistive upgrade) but it fails (of course...).
I saw someone mentioning uninstalling McAfee, but since I do not have McAfee installed - nor can I even operate the computer... I'm out of options.
If you have any ideas, please let me know. Thanks!
