T580 is not reliable as my old lenovo thinkcentre M93p: thunderbolt 3 dock gen 2, SD reader issue

2019-12-29, 17:27 PM

Got my T580 in 2019 May but still it is NOT my no.1 PC, I still rely on my 5yr old lenovo thinkcentre M93p.

1. The SD card reader will disconnect itself after 2 hours UNLESS you update to the latest driver version.

At first I used my T580 air gapped, so this used me a lot of TIME to trouble shot. (ps now it's NORMAL,

it's stable)

2. thunderbolt 3 seems is NOT matured enough for mission critial deploy.

I always power on my PC for 48hr and then rest 10min, then turn on another 48hr.

But my T580+ TB 3 dock gen 2 WONT wake up after my 8hr sleep.

(even I press the T580's keyboard or touchpad) and have

to power off it intentionally--> lost of data, lost of UNKNOWN data.

How do I know which document is not saved last nite?

(in windows, monitor is set to turn off after 1 min, PC sleep set to never.)

There are new TB3 driver/firmware last week, but I am a lab rat for drug testing now.

This T580 completely bad imaged lenovo for me,

for which M93p is much more reilable.

both running win10
