ThinkPad T400 + ADATA SP550 240 GB error 2100: HDD0

Hello!

Namely, I was put my new SSD ADATA SP550 240 GB to ThinkPad T400.

After turn on my computer, "drive LED" don't turn off.

The next a lot of time I see ""error 2100: HDD0".

When my new hard drive is connected, I can't open BIOS very fast.

When I unplug hard drive and run installation Windows 7 and in during initialization I connet my SSD to notebook (SATA II interface).

Windows 7 installation can see hard drive but I can't install Opering System on this because this hard drive is not bootable.

Thank you in advance for your time.

Re: ThinkPad T400 + ADATA SP550 240 GB error 2100: HDD0

Hi and welcome, bipocich

I assume this issue is the BIOS and SSD firmware incompatibility related. Lenovo support site and forum confirm it's the most likely cause.

Check out the recent versions on the Lenovo and SSD manufacturer support sites.

x220 • Gobi 2000 3g  |  x220 • hdd, msata ssd, 3g, wifi, gps -- unique hand-made config
x1c Gen3 (2015) • WQHD MT IPS, PCIe ssd
Miix 2 10"  |  Yoga Tablet 2-1050F (Android 5.0), BKC800 BT Keyboard, FolioCase
ThinkPad Stack • 2.4/5 wireless router, hdd 1 TB, BT speaker, power bank

Do it well, worse becomes itself
