ThinkPad T460 - Windows 10 PRO - Fingerprint hardware not "disappear" not detected

Hi All,

Hoping to get some help here, I have the above and the finger print worked fine for about 8 months and for the past 2 months it just disappear. Here is what I've tried already.

BIOS - Tried to reset in the BIOS - I get a message saying no hardware available

Device Manager - Can't find anything as well, doesn't even show Biometrics Devices

Tried to update the BIOS but didn't help.

Any help will be much appreciated.

If BIOS give you an error like "no hardware available" when you try to reset the fingerprint sensor, it means there's a hardware problem.  If the system is under warranty, I suggest making a warranty claim to get the fingerprint hardware replaced.
