ThinkPad T460 warranty question

I bought my ThinkPad T460 last November and am still under warranty for another month. My laptop won't turn on (power led would just flicker twice and then nothing) and am thinking about sending it in for repair since no one can help with a solution. Can I take out the hard drive without voiding my warranty? I want to back up my files before thinking about sending it in.

Simply, yes.  


If you damage anything removing the drive, damage you caused is not covered.
