I have received my T470p. It is working excellent. Currently, I have 16 GB RAM on the laptop and using one of the two avialable slots. Now, I am planning to add 16 GB RAM. Can you please share what are specifications of RAM that I need to purchase, like speed, manufacturer, and etc. Is there any thing that I need to be careful about while adding the RAM. Is it difficult to open the back side of the laptop.
Any input is welcome....

Regarding installation, everything is covered in Hardware Maintenance Manual
About the module, usually any more known vendor (e.g. Micron, SK Hynix, Samsung) will be fine, however it would be best, if you could buy module with the same specs like your currently installed module. You can check it either by using HWiNFO or going to page below and inputing laptop's SN:
You can also check on this website, what FRU (part number) your memory have and buy another module with the same FRU.

Warm Greetings & welcome to Lenovo Community, happy to have you here.
Looking at the Platform Specifications of ThinkPad T470p it supports 32GB max / 2400MHz DDR4, dual-channel capable, two DDR4 SO-DIMM sockets.
Usually any Memory modules with above specifications should work and below are OEM recommended memory modules for your system: (source)
I hope the above information helped you.
