Thinkpad T440P normal temperature

2017-10-10, 17:41 PM

I think my gpu and cpu is kind of overheating. GPU reaches at 47-50C idle, CPU temp stays around 58C-69C when in idle. When i use heavy task like photoshop and dota 2 game session it reaches cpu 90-91C, gpu 78-80C. Is it normal to heat like that? I used to have G580 and HP pavilion 15 before. But they never reached above 76C. If yes i'm planning to dissassemble and clean inside. Sorry for my terrible english.

The CPU temperature seems a little high, both at idle and under heavy load.

I just applied new thermale paste on cpu and gpu. GPU did noticable change in temp. But cpu didn't. I posted screenshot before and after clean up. I noticed that when i bootup computer fans stops spinning until system boots to OS. And sometimes when in idle it stops spinning too. And i think this fan is not working in its full potential. What should i do now? Reinstall new fan or is it normal?

The maximum value isn't as important as where it stabilizes.   If you run a CPU heavy application, the temperature rises quickly.  The temperature can spike before the fan gets to be running at high speed and a few seconds may pass before the heat is wicked away.  I would watch the temperatures while I worked
